Canon unveils PowerShot PX Home Surveillance Camera

Canon has announced the release of a new CCTV camera – PowerShot PX, which is positioned, among other things, as a video surveillance tool for creating memorable photos and videos.

This security camera is compact, it can be placed in any of the rooms – after which the PowerShot PX will automatically take pictures and record videos, relying on the function of recognition of objects, and the built-in framing and sorting system will select the best shots for later viewing.

The PowerShot PX’s specs aren’t super-capable by today’s standards. The surveillance cameras feature an 11.7-megapixel CMOS sensor, which allows you to create images of the appropriate resolution, and also allows you to record videos in Full HD 1920 × 1080 pixels. For storage, the footage is provided with a microSD memory card with a capacity of 16 GB. Of the features, we can single out the mechanical system of pan and tilt of the camera, it provides a viewing angle of 340 ° horizontally and 110 ° vertically.

Wireless technologies in the Canon PowerShot PX CCTV camera is equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless communication modules, which are used to transfer footage to a computer or a special application for mobile devices.

There is also support for voice control functions, thanks to which the user can start shooting at any time.

The Canon PowerShot PX sells on for £449.99, kit also includes a 16GB SD Card + 20-Watt USB type-C charger.
