Canon will produce a new version of the 50mm f / 1.2 L USM lens

Canon Lens 50mm f / 1.2 L USM has been born since 2006, Canon Lens Refurbished, the company is about to develop alternative versions have a smaller form of (Canon 50mm f / 1.2 L weight 592g old), the large front lens compared to the old version (Canon 50mm f / 1.2 L 72mm filter) and make sure the lens structure system changes with the latest coating and fast autofocus performance. EF 50mm f / 1.2 L USM:

EF: Electronic Focus – Focusing system motor in the lens. EF lens with autofocus mechanism with electronic motor mounted within the lens. Communication between the lens and the camera body is made through electronic contact pins. The Canon EF tube mounts structure consistent with all Canon EOS camera body lines.

L: Luxury – No precise meaning of this L-symbol, roughly the line of good quality lens by Canon, “luxury” expensive, with red border at the top of the lens.

USM: Ultra-Sonic Motor, The USM lens mounted ultrasonic motors. There are 2 types of USM, USM with excellent quality and the other is inferior quality micro-USM tube. All tubes are used within L USM, while the tube without L, especially the low-priced tubes, use micro-USM.
