The Viltrox has unveiled its first full-frame autofocus medium-telephoto lens, the Viltrox 85mm F1.8 RF, designed for Canon’s full-frame RF mount mirrorless cameras. The Canon telephoto lens has an AF / MF switch for operational control of settings, its length is less than 10 cm, and weight is 530 g.
Viltrox assures that having excellent autofocus, it is suitable for use by professional videographers and vloggers. The manufacturer positions it as a universal solution for portrait, landscape, street photography, etc.
The short focal length of the Canon telephoto lens is combined with a maximum aperture of f/1.8 to work in a variety of lighting conditions, as well as control depth of field and subject separation. The 9-blade diaphragm provides beautiful bokeh.
It consists of one extra-low dispersion element and four high refractive index elements that help reduce chromatic aberration for high definition and color.
The STM drive is used for fast and quiet autofocusing. A close focusing distance of 80 cm allows you to work with close-ups. The included hood protects the front element from stray light and glare. The contact group transmits Exif data and also allows you to control the aperture on the camera. In addition, the built-in USB port makes it easy to update the lens firmware.
