Canon expands the market for its PowerShot PICK PTZ cameras

A year ago, Canon introduced the PowerShot PICK PTZ cameras. After that, they immediately launched a crowdfunding campaign in Japan, not to raise funds, but to study the interest of potential buyers, since the tracking camera device is new and unusual for this manufacturer. In the home market, the Canon PTZ camera aroused strong interest. After that, the company decided to continue marketing research in the largest consumer market, and the crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo in the USA was also very successful.

Recalling, Canon PowerShot PICK is a portable camera for automatic photo and video shooting without the help of hands. PowerShot PICK technology allows you to detect and track faces, smiles, and more when set up through the appropriate app and automatically moves the camera to capture it all.

PowerShot PICK requires the MiniPTZ mobile app (available for iOS and Android). The application includes features like configuration settings, manual remote control of the tracking camera, automatic video recording, and the ability to view and select the right moments to download.

Price and availability

Canon PowerShot PICK PTZ cameras are now available to pre-order on Bhphotovideo.com and Adorama.com for $499. It comes in Black and White color options.
