Canon today announced two new Insta camera models named IVY CLIQ 2 and IVY CLIQ+ 2. These are an upgraded version of the Canon IVY CLIQ and CLIQ+ was announced last year. Their main feature is that they have the function of the instant photo printer.
The IVY CLIQ+ 2 instant camera is equipped with an 8-megapixel sensor and connects to a smartphone using the Canon Mini Print app. The manufacturers did not provide the camera with a physical or digital viewfinder, so in order for the user to see what he is going to capture, it will have to connect to a smartphone and activate the “Live View” function. An 8-LED ring light LED can be found around the lens. The insta camera has built-in frames, filters, and three modes of operation: landscape, portrait, and selfie.
It can lets you instantly shoot and print 2 x 3″ photo stickers, a large 2″ mirror lets you take the perfect selfie, and a MicroSD slot is provided so you can store and transfer your images.
The cost of the IVY CLIQ+ 2 is $149.99 and it can be pre-ordered via the Bhphotovideo.com website. It comes in Rose Gold and Midnight Navy colors.
The Canon IVY CLIQ 2 is considered self-contained. It does not require a smartphone connection, although the device itself, as in the case of the IVY CLIQ+ 2, does not have its own viewfinder. So that users can see what they are filming, the developers have added a mirror to the camera.
