Canon EOS 80D Price, Specifications and Availability

After just yesterday’s Canon 80D Rumors, Canon EOS 80D DSLR Camera has been officially launched today, with optimal improvements in both photography and film as a completely new 24.2-megapixel APS-C CMOS Sensor and upgraded Dual Pixel CMOS AF system with more focus point. This is a semi-pro segment camera with selling price of $1,199 for the camera body only, to compete directly with the Nikon D7200.So what’s new in Canon 80D? The first is on the sensor with 24.2-megapixel resolution and precision sensing is completely refreshed, not appearing on the previous DSLR. The image processor chip has been upgraded from DIGIC 5+ on the 70D to DIGIC 6, and high sensitivity up to an expanded ISO 25600 (native range of ISO 100-12800, expanded to ISO 25600).

Talking about the Autofocus system, 45-point all cross-type (70D with only 19-point cross-type) AF system will perform very fast in a range of lighting conditions for tracking moving subjects, while the Dual Pixel CMOS AF system provides live view shooting and smoother video recording. A very accurate focusing in difficult lighting conditions can be down to -3 EV.It is clear that Canon 80D replacement of the 70D, when talking about the video recording capabilities, Canon 80D can shoot Full HD 1080p video at 60fps instead of just 30fps as the 70D. Video is recorded in MP4 format with optional ALL-I or IPB compression. To access an impressive focus ability of 70D, the 80D comes equipped with Servo AF II autofocusing system offers high speed and accurate focusing when changing from different subjects or different distances within the scene.

On the outside, 80D still use magnesium alloy body to increase rigidity. OVF optical viewfinder of the camera also upgraded to 100 percent image coverage. The back of the device still uses Swivel touch screen LCD display size of 3.0-inches and 1,040,000 pixels resolution. The common connectivity features as WiFi or NFC are present on this device so that mean user can transfer high resolution images via the smartphones.Canon EOS 80D Price is settled for $1,199 for camera body only, while with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 STM Lens cost to $1,349 and Camera with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 STM Lens will cost a little higher at $1,799 or also you can separately buy EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 STM Lens at $599.
