Canon 5DsRa: Next Full-frame Astrophotography Camera? [Rumor]

The Canon is said to be developing a full-frame DSLR Camera dedicated to demand of astrophotography and will debut next year – 2016.

A dedicated camera for astrophotography often equipped with special sensors, which obtained the special wavelengths of light, to shoot sharp, clear with full of detailing. The Canon EOS 20DA was the first DSLR camera on this field, and most recently the Canon 60Da was launched in 2012. But all these are used APS-C sensor, while rival Nikon launched Nikon D810a with full-frame sensor.

According to tradition, they add a letter “a” (astro) in the name of the camera. So we probably will hear names like Canon 6Da, Canon 5Da, Canon 5DsRa.

Recently, Nikon was introduced the D810A camera for astrophotography. With the continuous shooting function, can automatically set shutter speed of 4, 5, 8, 10 … 900 seconds to capture an impressive shot of stars.

The Nikon D810a including 36.3-megapixels full-frame CMOS sensor, not use the Optical Low-pass Filter, ISO 200-12800 – expandable to 100-51200 and using the latest Nikon EXPEED 4 image processing chip.
