According Egami, they are posted a patent design of three new Canon lenses include Canon 300mm f/4 IS, 24mm f/2.8 and 50mm f/1.3 (2015).

The design was registered in 2013 and recently approved in 12/2. The new 300mm lens design shows that Canon will add three new lenses to improve the refractive index, minimizing flare and improve image quality. Thanks to this new lens will have a higher optical image quality compared to the older version.

Currently Canon are still selling Canon EF 300 mm f/4L IS USM launched in 2004, so many possibilities this new lens will be introduced in the near future.
