BLU Vivo 5 and BLU Vivo XL with 13MP Camera Launched at CES 2016

The Miami-based smartphone vendor, BLU has launched two new unlocked smartphones adding to their Vivo series collection named BLU Vivo 5 and BLU Vivo XL at CES 2016 exhibition. Both the BLU smartphones come in different screen sizes and a mid-range devices featuring impressive specifications with all metal unibody design. The BLU Vivo 5 is priced at $199 and BLU Vivo XL at $149 for unlocked variants will be available for purchase from Amazon US store soon.

The Vivo 5 features a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display, HD 720 x 1280 pixels resolution and pixel density of 267 ppi. It is powered by 1.3 GHz Octa-core processor that can be backed by MediaTek MT6753 chipset clubbed with ARM Mali-T720 MP3 GPU. It has 3GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in storage and is further expandable with the help of microSD card slot up to 128GB.

On the camera front, the handset sports a 13-megapixel primary camera on the back with autofocus, dual LED, sapphire blue lenses, PDAF and f/2.0 aperture. While the front has a 5-megapixel selfie camera to capture perfect self-portraits. The handset also flaunts Hi-Fi DTS Sound technology for loud and clear sound.

The Vivo 5 runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS also upgradeble to Android 6.0 Marshmallow in future. It supports dual SIM card slot with dual standby and packs in 3150mAh battery under the hood. On connectivity front, includes 4G LTE, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, and microUSB Type-C port. It’s available in two Silver and Gold color variants.

The BLU Vivo XL, on the other hand, features same-sized 5.5-inch display and almost same specifications but slight low in RAM and storage; packs in 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and microSD card slot for further expansion up to 128GB. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and also upgradable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow in the near future. It is available in four color variants including Liquid Gold, Chrome Silver, Midnight Blue and Rose Gold.
