Blu Studio Pro With Dual Rear Cameras and Android Nougat Announced

Blu Studio Pro, the company’s first dual rear camera smartphone, has been launched in USA. It is now listed on the company’s official website with full specifications, but we will still have to wait for its price. Blu in the past year has lost out to dealing with allegations of preloading spyware on its devices more than once in as 12-month span. The company has refuted the most recent claim, calling it a “false alarm” and to make a comeback, it will look to change its game and introduce some premium features to its budget to mid-range lineup, and perhaps a dual rear camera setup is one way to do that.

The biggest highlight of the Blu Studio Pro is its dual rear camera setup. The smartphone is the first of the Blu Studio series, one of the camera sensors is tasked with focus and the other is tasked with capturing depth of field information. The dual camera mode is enabled by default on the smartphone, and enables other modes like Bokeh Mode. It also captures video in FullHD (1080p) resolution at 30fps.

On the front, the Blu Studio Pro sports 5-megapixel camera, with a soft selfie flash module to capture clear and bright self-portraits and video calling.

Blu is also touting the Studio Pro’s design, and it is claimed to be crafted for a smooth form factor that is easily held for a photographic experience. It has a diamond cut polished chamfer edge on the camera to compliment the already superior metal housing. It features AI aluminum metal back panel that boasting a strength of the device.

The Android 7.0 Nougat -based Blu Studio Pro bears a 5.0-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) IPS LCD display. It is powered by a MediaTek 6580 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with Mali-400 GPU and 1GB of RAM. It bears 8GB of inbuilt storage, and users can expand it via microSD card up to 64GB in a dual-SIM card configuration.

Connectivity options include 3G HSPA +, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB 2.0. It sports a 2000mAh battery, the device measures 144.1 x 72.8 x 9.9mm and weighs in at 151 grams.
