Blu Studio Mega with 6-inch Display and Android 7.0 Nougat Announced

Blu, expanding its Studio phablet line-up in USA, has announced the Blu Studio Mega phablet with a large 6.0-inch display and the company’s first smartphone with Android 7.0 Nougat OS out-of-the-box. This new Blu phone has now been listed on the company website. While the specifications have all been listed in detail, but the smartphone’s retail price was not listed.

The dual-SIM supporting Blu Studio Mega features a 6.0-inch IPS display with HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution that can translate a pixel density of 245ppi. The handset is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor that’s fueled by MediaTek MT6580 SoC clubbed with Mali-400 GPU. It packs in 1GB of RAM and 8GB of inbuilt storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card up to 64GB.

As mentioned above the smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat OS, so now you can enjoy the multi-window feature, better RAM optimization and many more other features available, users will have many new capabilities. The Blu Studio Mega houses an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash along with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera paired with front LED flash to capture bright self-portraits. The camera can record FHD (1080p) videos at 30fps.

In the connectivity section, the handset supports 3G, GPS, A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi, FM radio, Bluetooth 4.1, 3.5mm audio jack and Micro-USB 2.0 options. The Blu smartphone is backed by a 2500mAh battery and features premium metal body will be available in Black, Gold and Rose Gold color variants. The device measures 166.2 x 83.9 x 9.5 mm and weighs 196 grams.

Last month, Blu had launched the Blu R1 Plus smartphone with 4000mAh battery and 8MP front camera with LED flash, priced at $159.99 for 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM model and $139.99 for 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM model.
