Blu has expanded its “Studio series” of smartphones with the announcement of the two new devices. The Blu Studio J8 and Blu Studio J8 LTE smartphones are now listed on its official website with full specifications but without any pricing any availability details. The dual-SIM Android 7.0 Nougat -based smartphones from Blu will be soon available for purchase via Amazon in USA.
Blu Studio J8 Specifications
The Blu Studio J8 features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution that can convey pixel density of 267ppi. There is also 2.5D curved glass protection on top of it and has an aluminum body with curved edges gives it premium look.
The handset is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MTK6580 SoC coupled with Mali-400 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 8GB of built-in storage that is expandable via microSD card up to 64GB.
For optics, Studio J8 sports an 8-megapixel rear and front autofocus camera with f/2.0 aperture and dual-tone LED flash. It can also record 1080p videos at 30fps. For selfie, there is a 5-megapixel front camera with selfie flash to capture bright and stunning selfies. You can also find a fingerprint sensor on the back panel of the device.
Connectivity options on the Studio J8 include 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Glonass, Micro-USB 2.0, GPRS/ EDGE, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. It bears a 2500mAh battery, measures 155.7 x 77.6 x 8.9mm, and weighs 183 grams.
Blu Studio J8 LTE Specifications
The Blu Studio J8 LTE features an identical design and specifications to the Studio J8, except for 4G LTE connectivity, SoC, storage and RAM capacity. It bears similar 5.5-inch HD display with 2.5D curved glass but runs on a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 SoC coupled with MaliT720 GPU. The device will be available in two storage options such as 2GB RAM with 16GB storage and 1GB RAM with 8GB storage that’s expandable via microSD card up to 64GB.
On the camera front, it sports an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with selfie flash. It can also record 720p videos at 30fps. Like the Studio J8, the Blu Studio J8 LTE also features a fingerprint sensor on its back cover.
Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS, Glonass, Micro-USB 2.0, 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. It also packs a 2500mAh battery and similar dimensions as Studio J8.
Recently launched Blu R2 and R2 LTE smartphones are now available for purchase in the country. Both features front dual-tone LED flash, its highlight feature, apart from Android 7.0 Nougat, fingerprint sensor, and a metal uni-body; priced at $79.99 for 1GB RAM, and 8GB inbuilt storage version, while 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt storage with 4G LTE version has been priced at $109.99.
