Blu has expanded its “R series” of smartphones with the announcement of the two new devices. The Blu R2 and Blu R2 LTE smartphones are now listed on its official website with full specifications but without any pricing any availability details. The dual-SIM Android 7.0 Nougat -based smartphones from Blu will be soon available for purchase via Amazon in USA.
Blu R2 Specifications
The Blu R2 features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution that can convey pixel density of 282ppi. There is also 2.5D curved glass protection on top of it and has a diamond cut polished metal frame with an aluminum back panel.
The handset is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MTK6580 SoC coupled with Mali-400 GPU and 8GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 8GB of built-in storage that is expandable via microSD card up to 64GB.
For optics, Blu R2 sports an 8-megapixel rear and front autofocus camera with f/2.0 aperture and dual-tone LED flash. It can also record 1080p videos at 30fps. You can also find a fingerprint sensor on the back panel of the device.
Connectivity options on the Blu R2 include 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Glonass, Micro-USB 2.0, GPRS/ EDGE, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. It bears a 3000mAh battery, measures 150.3 x 74.3 x 9.6mm, and weighs 156 grams.
Blu R2 LTE Specifications
The Blu R2 LTE features nearly identical design and specifications to the R2, except for 4G LTE connectivity, RAM and as well as a higher resolution camera sensor and a different processor. It bears similar 5.5-inch HD display with 2.5D curved glass but runs on a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 SoC coupled with MaliT720 GPU. The device will be available in two storage options such as 2GB RAM with 16GB storage and 3GB RAM with 32GB storage that’s expandable via microSD card up to 64GB.
On the camera front, it sports a 13-megapixel rear and front autofocus camera with f/2.0 aperture and dual-tone LED flash. It can also record 720p videos at 30fps. Like the R2, the Blu R2 LTE also features a fingerprint sensor on its back cover.
Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS, Glonass, Micro-USB 2.0, 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. It also packs a 3000mAh battery and similar dimensions as R2.
