The Blu Products has today on Friday launched a new smartphone to its R1 series – the R1 Plus. The Blu R1 Plus is a budget smartphone that comes with a gigantic 4000mAh battery and 8MP front camera with LED flash as its biggest highlight. The Blu R1 Plus price in USA is only $159.99 for 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM version and $139.99 for 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM model and is now available for purchase via Amazon online store. For now, the 3GB RAM variant is listed on the store, no further information about 2GB version. The Blu R1 Plus is only available in Black color, and works on AT&T, T-Mobile, Cricket, MetroPCS, and Straight Talk, amongst other carriers.

The dual SIM supporting R1 Plus runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and it is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor that’s backed by MediaTek 6737 chipset, and houses a Mali T-720 GPU for the graphics. It packs 3GB / 2GB of RAM under the hood. The Blu R1 Plus features a 5.5-inch IPS display with HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution and curved Gorilla Glass 3 protection around the corners of the smartphone.
For photography, Blu R1 Plus sports a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with full-HD (1080p) video recording at 30fps. The front-facing camera is an 8-megapixel shooter, and both the cameras come with flash modules. This Blu phone offers an inbuilt storage of 32GB / 16GB, which is expandable via a microSD card up to 64GB.
The handset packs a 4000mAh battery that is rated to last up to 2-3 days with standard usage and up to 30 days of standby time. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, MicroUSB 2.0 with OTG, and 3.5mm audio jack. The smartphone is measuring 153 x 76.6 x 10.5 mm.
