Blu Advance 4.0M Entry-Level 3G phone With Android M Launched

Even though most smartphone manufacturers are currently focused on creating 4G VoLTE devices, Blu still seems to believe that there are takers for 3G smartphones, at least in the sub-$50 segement. The company has launched the Blu Advance 4.0M at $43.97 and can be purchased via Amazon online store in Black, Blue and White color options.  Blu Advance 4.0M

The dual-SIM smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and sports a 4-inch TFT LCD display with WVGA (480×800 pixels) resolution that can translate a pixel density of 233ppi. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor backed by Mediatek MT6572 SoC coupled with Mali-400 GPU. It packs in 512 MB of RAM and comes with an inbuilt storage of 4GB, which is expandable via microSD card up to 64GB.

In terms of cameras, the Blu phone comes with a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) camera at front for selfie and the rear camera on Advance 4.0M is 2-megapixel along with LED flash and also able to record HD (720p) video at 30fps.

It measures 123.6 x 61.5 x 10.3 mm and weighs 114 grams. The Blu Advance 4.0M packs a 1300mAh battery, and in terms of connectivity, the smartphone provides options like 3G connectivity, WLAN 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, FM Radio, USB 2.0, and 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Blu Cell Phones company launched its smartphone Blu Life Max with 4G LTE support earlier this month at $118. It sports a a 5.5-inch 2.5D curved glass HD display, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor, Mali-T720 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It offers 32GB of inbuilt storage that can be further expanded via microSD card (up to 64GB).

The smartphone comes with a fingerprint sensor, sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, dual LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with a front LED flash; and packs a 3700mAh battery that is claimed to deliver up to 30 days of standby time and up to 3 days of standard usage time.
