Blackmagic Design Fairlight Desktop USB Audio Mixer announced

The audio mix device has an HDMI interface for connecting a screen to display an extended graphic interface with audio status displays and level control. The Fairlight Desktop Console is a complete sound mixer for mixing multiple tracks at the same time and for automating numerous settings for parameters and plug-ins. It is also used to control channel functions, record, monitor, and navigate through projects.

It has a compact design and pro-level features, independent mixers, and small postproduction studios a space-saving, purpose-built USB control surface for maximizing workflow efficiency with DaVinci Resolve’s Fairlight page. The Console uses the same high-quality faders as the full-size modular consoles. The sculpted faders are smooth and provide the perfect amount of resistance for making subtle adjustments. The precision-engineered encoder knobs ensure a long life of the noiseless operation, and the console buttons are rated at a million presses.

The multifunction pan knob can be used for panning or can be assigned to control other Fairlight parameters. Hold Control and tap to reset, or hold Shift for refined control. As it’s a rotary encoder, it won’t introduce signal noise like worn mechanical knobs. Each of the 12 fader channel strips has its own dedicated solo and mute buttons for quickly isolating or temporarily turning tracks off. Multifunction select buttons can be used to load track parameters and activate automation and plug-in controls.

This console is ideal for newbies, smaller studios, and use in commercials, online projects, and freelance work. In the familiar sound mixer design with twelve motorized faders, rotary encoders, and backlit buttons, users can identify their channels in no time. Channel parameters, EQ, dynamics, plug-ins and more can be controlled with knobs and buttons. Users can connect a screen to the built-in HDMI output and receive the same interactive graphic feedback as with the larger consoles.

Blackmagic Design Fairlight Desktop price and availability

The Fairlight Desktop USB audio mixer is also available to pre-order on the Bhphotovideo.com website for $ 3,595.
