BlackBerry Aurora with Nougat, and 4GB RAM Announced

BlackBerry Aurora has been quietly launched in Indonesia. It is the latest mid-range Android smartphone device from the company called – BB Merah Putih which currently holds the right to manufacture and sell BlackBerry smartphones in Indonesian market. BlackBerry Aurora

The partnership between BB Merah Putih and BlackBerry, formed in September last year, which allows the former to manufacture and sell handsets in BlackBerry Indonesia. BlackBerry Aurora price in Indonesia is set to IDR 3,499,000 – approximately $260 and is available in Gold, Silver and Black color options. It will be available for pre-order in the country till March 12, 2017.

BlackBerry Aurora Specifications

The BlackBerry Aurora features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution, and it is powered by a 1.4 GHz quad-core processor that’s fueled by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset with Adreno 308 GPU. The device packs in 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 256GB with the help of microSD card slot.

On the camera front, the Aurora flaunts a 13-megapixel autofocus primary camera on the back with dual tone LED flash. It shoots Full HD 1080p videos. It has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with wide angle lens to capture wide group selfies and high quality video calling. BlackBerry Aurora price

The Aurora runs on latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS and packs a 3000mAh battery under the hood. The handset measures 152×76.8×8.5mm and weighs 178 grams. It has a dual SIM card slot on board along with 4G LTE connectivity, apart from 4G includes 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, USB 2.0, 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio connectivity options.
