Sennheiser IE 200: Audiophile Wired In-Ear Earphones with Dual Tuning and MMCX

Sennheiser has introduced the best stereo headphones IE 200 promises extraordinary listening pleasure for the earbuds with cable with a “dual tuning function”. Audiophile hi-fi enthusiasts should get their money’s worth with the Sennheiser IE 200 audio headset.

Sennheiser is expanding its IE series of best stereo headphones on the go with the IE 200, which are intended to complement the more expensive IE 300 and IE 600 series as a cheaper Sennheiser headphone model. The top model IE 900 (REVIEW), for example, costs a whopping $1,499 at Amazon.

Sennheiser promises “crystal-clear sound and the finest resolution” for the brand-fresh IE 200 wired earphones, since the IE 200 adopts a lot of the technology from more expensive earphone models, according to the manufacturer. According to Sennheiser, the IE 200 also uses the 7-millimeter drivers as “TrueResponse” converters, which are also used in the more expensive audiophile in-ears.

In addition, users of the new Sennheiser headphone has the option of adjusting the sound using the “dual tuning” function. The included earplugs (4 grams) can be attached in two different positions: for deep bass or precise treble.

Compared to the more expensive IE models with a metal chassis, the Sennheiser IE200 in-ear headphones have a simple plastic housing. For an ergonomic fit of the in-ears, foam or silicone earpieces are available in different sizes. The braided connection cable (1.2 meters) of the IE 200 offers not only a 3.5 mm stereo plug, but also MMCX connections for connecting to the corresponding audiophile playback devices.

Sennheiser calls the IE 200 with dual tuning and MMCX a frequency response of 6 to 20,000 Hz and a speaker sensitivity of 119 dB (1kHz, 1Vrms). Sennheiser puts the distortion factor (THD) for the IE 200 earbuds at less than 0.08 percent. The scope of delivery of the IE 200 includes the headphones, braided cable with MMCX connectors and 3.5 mm plug, six pads made of silicone and memory foam (S, M, L), a bag, and safety instructions.
