QNAP has introduced the best network attached storage devices. The QNAP TVS-hx74 ZFS NAS storage systems are equipped with 12th-generation Intel Core processors and can be connected with high data transfer rate.
QNAP has introduced the new best NAS storage. The three QNAP systems in the TVS-hx74 series not only differ in the number of drive bays but also in terms of the processors. The TVS-h474 is only available with the Intel Pentium Gold G7400 and thus a dual-core processor, with the TVS-h674 customers then having the choice between the Intel Core i5-12400 and the Intel Core i3-12100. The 8-bay NAS TVS-h874 is only available with the Intel Core i5-12400.
Regardless of the model version, up to two 64-gigabyte RAM modules can be installed. Connection to a network can be made via two 2.5 Gigabit/s Ethernet ports. Two M.2 slots are available, which means that frequently accessed content can be cached. The expandability is also given via the two PCIe Gen 4 slots, which can also be used to retrofit additional Ethernet ports – with a data transfer rate of up to 25 gigabits/s. It is also possible to install additional M.2 SSDs via adapter cards.
There are three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports on the best network attached storage devices, which can also be used to expand the storage. The TVS-hx74 series models are based on the QuTS Hero operating system, which supports the ZFS file system. The TVS-hx74 devices should not only be suitable for simple, central data storage but also be able to host virtual machines and containers.
Therefore new QNAP systems should also be suitable for use in commercial environments. An HDMI output is built in, which means that content stored on the NAS can also be output directly to a display.
