Asus ROG Strix XG256Q Gaming Monitor with 180 Hz and 1 ms

With the ROG Strix XG256Q, the Taiwanese company Asus has introduced a new 24.5-inch best cheapest monitor for gamers. The built-in IPS panel has a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels (Full HD), achieves a maximum refresh rate of 180 Hz, and has a DisplayHDR 400 certification.

Furthermore, the 1080p monitor features a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 1 ms response time (grey to gray), 400 cd/m² typical brightness, and 8-bit color depth.

FreeSync Premium and G-Sync compatible Adaptive Sync are launched as anti- tearing technologies. Thanks to the ELMB Sync functionality, the whole thing can be combined with a mode to prevent the blurring of moving images.

Two HDMI 2.0 inputs (Full HD at a maximum of 165 Hz), a DisplayPort 1.2 (Full HD at a maximum of 180 Hz), and headphone output are available as interfaces. USB ports are not there.

The Asus ROG Strix XG256Q has strong ergonomics and offers rotation, tilt, height adjustment, pivot, VESA mount (100 x 100 mm), blue light filtering, and flicker-free backlight. According to the datasheet, the power requirement is less than 16 watts, the weight without the stand is 2.7 kg, and the dimensions are 558 x 331 x 60 mm (W x H x D).
