FiiO has officially introduced the White version of its best budget DAC and Amp: FiiO BTR 7. The portable dac amp combo will be sold in limited quantities.
FiiO BTR7 White has a full-body white color scheme with luxurious blue buttons. The case is coated with aluminum alloy by electrodeposition technique to increase durability and prevent scratches and dents when impacted.
The internal hardware is still equipped with two THX AAA-28 dual-amp circuits (4 amplifiers in total) allowing to improve single-ended output performance by up to 88%, while balanced output is improved by about 30%. THD+N is also extremely low 0.00048% (compared to 0.002% in the previous version).
The best budget DAC and Amp owns 2 DAC chips ESS ES9219C (for 2 separate left/right channels), supports MQA decoding, compatible with PCM 384kHz/32bit and DSD256 signal quality. The FiiO BTR 7 White also comes with a Qualcomm QCC5124 Bluetooth chipset that supports LDAC and aptX Adaptive codecs. Inside the case is a hidden antenna strip that improves signal quality without affecting the overall design.
The FiiO BTR7 White has single-ended and 4.4mm Full-balanced 3.5mm jacks. The nominal battery life is about 9 hours of continuous listening and supports Qi wireless charging or USB cable. The unit can be used in discrete DAC mode (activated by the CHARGE button on the body). In this mode, BTR7 White will still operate on its battery and will not affect the battery life of the mobile device.
Customers are also recommended to download the FiiO Control app to customize features such as EQ, switch between usage modes, and update new firmware. FiiO BTR 7 White has a total size of 39.6mm x 14.6mm x 83.6mm and weighs only 68g. The accessory comes with a leather case.
