The Fenix E is now officially Garmin’s best AMOLED display smartwatch under $800. It is available now—the Garmin Fenix E slots between the existing Fenix 7 and the new Fenix 8.
Garmin has launched the Fenix E, which complements the Fenix 8. For the record, the Fenix E is $100 cheaper than the Enduro 3, Garmin’s other new smartwatch. Also, the Fenix E only comes in one size, just like the Enduro 3.
Specifically, Garmin has decided to offer the Fenix E with a 47mm case, while the Fenix 8 also comes in 43mm and 51mm. Garmin is selling the Fenix E in two finishes, which it describes as “Slate Grey Steel” and “Stainless Steel”; both variants come with a black silicone band.
Garmin has equipped the Fenix E with a 1.3-inch wide AMOLED display with a 416 x 416 pixels resolution. As a result, the Fenix E offers sixteen days of battery life in smartwatch mode. This is two days less than the standard Fenix 7. Battery life decreases significantly with GPS enabled, especially when using all satellite systems and music functionality.
