Dell Ultrasharp U4924DW 49″ super ultrawide monitor with 2.5 Gbps HUB and KVM switch

Dell has unveiled its latest addition to its range of monitors – the Ultrasharp U4924DW, the best 49″ super ultrawide monitor with an integrated USB hub. This 49″ QHD monitor is designed to enable high productivity in a professional setting, with a wide range of functions that are sure to impress.

The Ultrasharp U4924DW is a curved ultra-wide screen that is equivalent to two 27-inch QHD monitors, providing an uninterrupted work surface without any display edges. It has a resolution of 5,120 x 1,440 pixels, a refresh rate of 60 Hz, and an aspect ratio of 32:9. The typical brightness is 350 cd/m², while the contrast ratio is 2,000:1, and the monitor can reproduce the sRGB color space completely.

In terms of ergonomic design, the Dell U4924DW can be adjusted in height, tilted, and rotated for comfortable use. It supports image signals via DisplayPort, HDMI, and USB Type C. Moreover, the model comes with an integrated USB hub that can also act as a KVM switch, allowing users to switch between connected input devices. The USB hub includes multiple USB 3.2 Gen2 ports in both Type A and Type C, and an Ethernet port with a data transfer rate of 2.5 GBit/s.

The best 49″ super ultrawide monitor U4924DW also has two loudspeakers with an output of 9 watts, and multiple image sources can be displayed side by side or within each other (Picture-by-Picture and Picture-in-Picture). Dell advertises its Dell Display Manager as a tool for easy configuration and application arrangement.

The Dell Ultrasharp U4924DW is available for $2,000, but it can be purchased from the Bhphotovideo.com online store at $1,499. It competes with LG’s recently launched Ultragear 49GR85DC-B, another 49-inch ultrawide monitor with a curved screen and an aspect ratio of 32:9. The LG monitor has been priced at $1,299.99 / £1,502.64.
