Insta360 launches the One RS 360 Edition with two 1-inch sensors and Leica optics

Insta360 has introduced an exciting best 360 camera that promises high image quality thanks to combining two 1-inch format sensors and two Leica lenses. Insta360 also offers an upgrade kit for older One R and One RS cameras.

Insta360 ONE RS 1-Inch 360 Edition best 360 Camera

The brand new Insta 360 One RS 1-inch 360 Edition is characterized above all by the high-quality camera equipment. The manufacturer installs two sensors in 1-inch format, each with a Leica Summicron lens with a focal length of 6 mm (35mm -equivalent) and an aperture of f/2.2.

The new best 360 camera can record 360-degree photos with a resolution of 21 megapixels and 6K videos. Specifically, the manufacturer speaks of a resolution of 6,144 x 3,072 pixels at 24 frames per second and a data rate of 120 MB/s. Aside from conventional videos, timelapse and timeshift recordings are also supported. Photos can be saved as DNG RAW files for the widest possible compatibility.

Insta360 emphasizes that this is the first 360-degree camera with Leica lenses and that the large sensors enable photos and videos with less image noise and a larger dynamic range, especially in low light. The integrated FlowState stabilization is intended to make a gimbal superfluous. Apart from the official app, an SDK should also enable future compatibility with OpenSpace and Matterport. Selfie sticks can be automatically removed from pictures.

Still way over exposed blows out detail the sky still looks horrible.
You can’t put new lenses and sensors on an existing prosser and expect it to be leaps more than the previous model.
