Meet the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H100: Luxury Redefined in Wireless Headphones

The Danish home cinema specialist Bang & Olufsen is approaching its 100th anniversary. To celebrate this milestone, B&O is introducing the Beoplay H100, the most expensive wireless headphones to date, aiming to set new standards.

After Bang & Olufsen launched the Beoplay H95 for its 95th anniversary, an even more expensive model is following shortly before the 100th anniversary in 2025. The Beoplay H100 makes even flagship headphones like the Bowers & Wilkins PX8 (approx. $499 / £549 on Amazon) look like a bargain.

B&O doesn’t hold back when it comes to marketing, as the manufacturer promises “new standards”, “breathtaking sound” and “powerful bass” made possible by a “technical masterpiece”. The Beoplay H100 features 40-millimeter titanium drivers, and EarSense adapts the sound to the user’s ears.

B&O states that the active noise control headphones can reproduce frequencies from 10 Hz to 40 kHz in “Hi-Res mode.” Currently, they support SBC, AAC, and LDAC codecs. Additional Hi-Fi Bluetooth codecs are expected in a 2025 update.

Bluetooth Multipoint allows you to connect up to three devices at the same time. You can adjust the sound using an equalizer in the associated app. Additionally, the best outside-ear headphones support 3D audio with head tracking, active noise cancellation, and a transparency mode. Furthermore, the glass exterior is touch-sensitive, allowing you to control playback effortlessly.

The Beoplay H100 is relatively heavy at 375 grams but is still comfortable thanks to lambskin ear pads and a headband with multiple layers of foam. The battery lasts 32 hours with ANC.
