The e-sports screen BenQ Zowie XL2546X (REVIEW), which has been available since the beginning of the year, will soon have an improved successor model. The latter is called the Zowie XL2546X+ and has a 24.1 instead of 24.5 inch Fast TN panel, which is again equipped with a dual backlight to reduce the blurring of moving images and emit a softer light. It also has less overshoot and optimized color representation.
Like its predecessor, the new HDMI 2.0 280Hz refresh rate monitor has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) but with a refresh rate of up to 280 Hz instead of 240 Hz. As usual, the contrast ratio is 1000:1, and the typical brightness is 320 cd/m². Adaptive Sync is an anti-tearing measure, although DyAc 2 can be an alternative anti-blur tool. The S Switch also comes with a remote control.
The interfaces available consist of three (instead of two) HDMI 2.0 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.2, and a headphone output. In terms of ergonomics, tilt, rotation, height adjustment, VESA mount (100 x 100 mm), blue light filtering and flicker-free backlighting are available. Side privacy shields are also included.
BenQ Zowie XL2546X+ price and release date
