The new BenQ home cinema projector was recently launched in India, and third-party retailers have since listed the device. The model’s features include a laser light source with up to 2,600 ANSI lumens brightness and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage.
The BenQ W5800 is a DLP projector with 4K UHD technology and a maximum recommended image size of 200 inches (~500 cm). According to the company, the laser phosphor light source delivers 2,600 ANSI lumens of brightness, with 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space.
Filmmaker mode, HDR-PRO technology, and support for 3D content are also included. It is worth noting that the high-resolution home projector does not have speakers, but you can connect your own via an HDMI eARC port, which is compatible with Dolby Atmos.
The BenQ W5800 HDR-compatible 4K projector delivers precise color accuracy with individual factory calibration reports ensuring 100% Rec.709 Delta E<2 and grayscale tracking Delta E<2. It also features an optimized DCI-P3 color table for authentic Hollywood colors. The acclaimed ISFccc calibration allows customized image and color performance for any environment, with preset day and night light balance modes.
Using the advanced Local Contrast Enhancer (LCE) algorithm, the BenQ W5800 divides images into over 1,000 zones. It adjusts gamma independently in each zone to enhance dark and bright detail, delivering greater image depth and definition.
