BenQ has released a pair of GV30 and GS50 portable projectors. Both new BenQ projectors are equipped with a built-in 2.1 speaker system and offer support for Android TV 9.0. The built-in BenQ QS01 TV box is responsible for the operation of the platform.
Both portable projectors are capable of producing images from 30 “to 100” diagonally. The GV30 pico projector has a resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels, 300 ANSI lumens, and a 100,000: 1 contrast ratio. For the smart projector, 98% coverage of the Rec.709 color space is declared.
The built-in BenQ QS01 TV box, on which each of the new portable projectors is built, consists of a single-chip Amlogic S905 Y2 system with four Cortex A53 cores, as well as 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of eMMC flash memory. The set-top box supports dual-channel Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2 and runs on Android TV OS 9.0
As a light source in the GV30 and GS50, Osram LED lamps are used with a declared service life of up to 20 thousand hours in normal mode and up to 30 thousand hours in economy mode.
The GV30 has a built-in audio system with two 4W mid-range drivers and an 8W subwoofer. The wireless projector has an HDMI 1.4b interface, asymmetrical USB Type-C port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
In autonomous mode from the built-in battery, the BenQ GV30 and GS50 will run for up to 2.5 hours.
The BenQ GS50 would be the best outdoor projector with features like 1080p resolution and 500 ANSI lumens light source. In addition, support for HDR10 and HLG is also announced.
The GS50 is equipped with one HDMI 2.0b and one USB-C with charging and DisplayPort Alt mode, as well as one USB Type-A and 3.5mm audio jack. The device is equipped with an acoustic system of two mid-range radiators with a power of 5 W each, as well as a subwoofer with a power of 10 W. The GS50 measures 186 x 154 x 146 mm and weighs 2.3 kg.
