BenQ Mobiuz EX480UZ 4K OLED gaming monitor with 120Hz

At Gamescom 2022 in Cologne, BenQ introduced the new OLED gaming monitor Mobiuz EX480UZ. This is the first 4K OLED monitor from the brand, it has a 48-inch diagonal, a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels (4K), and promises a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz – both on the PC and a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X.

BenQ EX480UZ is an HDMI 2.1 monitor, that has a real 10-bit color depth which is just as much at the start as a 0.1 ms faster gray change and DisplayHDR 400 True Black. Furthermore, a contrast ratio of 135,000:1, DCI-P3 coverage of 98 percent, and a typical brightness of 450 cd/m² are offered.

VRR (“Variable Refresh Rate”) and FreeSync Premium ensure tearing -free gaming fun – so BenQ didn’t opt ​​for the Pro version, which could handle active HDR.

Two stereo loudspeakers with 5 watts each and a 10-watt subwoofer are also part of the feature set, as are OSD options for black stabilization and against the blurring of moving images.

The range of interfaces on the 48-inch OLED gaming monitor includes two HDMI 2.1 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4, a USB 3.2 hub, a headphone output, and USB-C with DisplayPort alternate mode and 90-watt power supply. In terms of ergonomics, tilt, VESA mount (200 x 200 mm), blue light filtering, and a mode for people with color blindness are available.

Price and availability

The BenQ Mobiuz EX480UZ is already up for pre-order on Amazon.com at $1,711.93 and will be released on October 1, 2022. A remote control is also included in the scope of delivery. Although it is not mentioned on the product page, the press release states that even KVM switch functionality is part of the device.

Earlier this month, BenQ introduced the Mobiuz EX270M 240Hz gaming monitor. The new BenQ 27 inch monitor has an IPS panel with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels (Full HD) with a maximum refresh rate of 240 Hz and HDR support and is priced at $374.49.
