The BenQ EH700 is a very bright projector, which is also suitable for displaying projections in daylight. The new Android based projector advertises low input lag, making it suitable for video games.
BenQ has listed a new DLP home projector. This projector is designed for high brightness but sacrifices resolution. It offers a Full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The manufacturer specifies the brightness as 4,000 ANSI lumens. These are projectors with a laser light source. The lifespan of the light source is specified as 30,000 hours in Eco mode, which corresponds to a lifespan of 10 years if used for 8 hours a day. A refresh rate of 120 Hz is supported.
With a refresh rate for Full HD content, input lag should be only 8.3 milliseconds. Although BenQ didn’t specifically design the EH700 for gaming, it still proves to be a suitable option. A zoom lens is installed, so the projection ratio is not fixed but can be adjusted to between 1.15 and 1.5. A 150-inch image can be projected from 3.8 to 5 meters away, while a 100-inch image requires 2.5 to 3.3 meters. The keystone correction takes place automatically.
The projector can receive image signals via two HDMI ports, but an external player is not necessary. Android 9 is the operating system, that allows access to USB storage media. TeamViewer and cloud storage access are also available. You can easily download additional apps. Wireless transmission via Google Cast, AirPlay, Miracast, and InstaShare is possible. You can hold video conferences using the webcam. Both Ethernet and WiFi connect, and Bluetooth keyboards and mice work with the system.
