A few years ago, projectors were only capable of displaying images, but there are now inexpensive projectors that have their own SoC, RAM, and network connection and therefore, can also be used for media playback without an external player. Such systems are available with Android TV.

With the EH620, BenQ has now introduced a new Windows projector, which is said to be based on the Windows 11 IoT Enterprise operating system. In contrast to the devices based on Android TV, the EH620 has a slightly different focus in detail and is aimed at corporate customers, so the model is designed for displaying presentations.

Pre-installed meeting apps such as Google Meet, Skype for Business, and TeamViewer Meeting can also be used directly on the projector with an appropriate camera. Apps can be downloaded from the Windows Store. The Intel Celeron 4205U processor promises sufficient performance.

Wireless transmission via Miracast, Airplay, Google Cast, and BenQ InstaShare is supported, and the screen can be divided into four parts – this means that several meeting participants can present their results.

The DLP projector is said to be able to offer a brightness of up to 3,400 ANSI lumens and offers a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, the projection ratio is estimated at between 1.13 and 1.47. In addition, several HDMI inputs are available, as well as speakers, USB, and jack connections.
