Beelink SEi 8279U: New Mini PC with Intel processor

The SEi 8279U is a new mini PC desktop from Beelink. Despite its compact dimensions, there should be power reserves as well as extensive connectivity options.

Beelink is known as a manufacturer of the mini pc desktop also cheaper and has now expanded its range to include another model based on Intel. Unsurprisingly, the SEi 8279U uses the Intel Core i5-8279U. The new Beelink mini PC model is specified with a TDP of 28 watts.

Four computing cores up to 4.1 GHz can process eight threads at the same time thanks to hyperthreading. Depending on the equipment variant selected, the DDR4 main memory with a speed of up to 2,400 MHz measures 32 gigabytes, 8 or 16 gigabytes are preinstalled, depending on the choice.

The mini PC desktop includes a 256 or 512 Gbyte SSD, whereby the M.2 drive can be replaced by a larger model. The NVMe SSD can be supplemented by an SSD or hard drive in 2.5-inch format. The dimensions of 124 x 113 millimeters and the thickness of only 41 millimeters should be possible thanks to the dual heat pipe cooling system without major compromises in terms of cool ability.

The connections also require few compromises: two full-size HDMI ports allow the connection of external monitors, plus a total of five USB 3.0 ports. One of them is Type C. A jack socket and gigabit LAN are available. The installation of the SEi 8279U should also be possible on the wall or the VESA mount of a monitor.

The Beelink SEi 8279U is now available from Amazon.com at a recommended retail price of $479 for the variant with an 8 gigabyte RAM and a 256 gigabyte SSD.

The mini pc office device has an eleventh-generation Intel Core processor: i7 11700T and i5 11500T, Windows 10 Pro operating system, and its pricing starts from $1,099.
