Bang & Olufsen BeoVision 14 Android TV Debuted, Priced at $7107

Popular Danish brand Bang & Olufsen has introduced the super luxurious Smart TV named BeoVision 14 Android TV, which is based on the iconic design from BeoVision 10 and adds oak wood lamellas. Bang & Olufsen BeoVision 14 is the 4K Ultra HD TV and company’s first Smart TV product running pure Google’s Android TV operating system. To match with the super-luxury segment, the Bang & Olufsen TV sets starting with a price tag of EUR 6,365 – approximately $7,107 USD for 40-inch screen sizes.
BeoVision TV is an ultra-luxury line of Bang & Olufsen, especially BeoVision 10 variant was released in 2009 and became a design icon in no time. Then the company continues to expand its lineup to BeoVision 11 and now they come with the BeoVision 14-based on the same platform.

The BeoVision 14 also follows the current trend when it comes with the minimalist design and ultra-thin frame, but Bang & Olufsen use organic material like oak wood to create warmth in the design. As per company said, “delicately crafted oak wood lamellas on the front create a warm organic contrast to the dark cool glass panel and the square aluminum frame“.

Users can also buy the TV with cloth fronts that are available in multiple colors. BeoVision 14 is offered in either natural aluminum or black anodized aluminum. Danish electronics maker also offers the option of wall mounts, a motorized or place it on the floor casually as traditional style. 
Behind the oak wood lamellas are custom-built three-way speakers. To ensure that sound passes through the wood lamellas undisturbed the company has drawn on its experience from the BeoLab 18 speakers that also use oak wood lamellas. BeoVision 14 has 2 optional screen sizes of 40 and 55 inches and both are using LED backlight technology, that enables optimum image quality, partially rationalizing the high price of this product. But one thing to note that the BeoVision 14 Android TV does not support both 3D and HDR.

Bang & Olufsen also equipped with an anti-reflection front glass which is said to be reduced up to 98% unwanted reflections. An integrated 360-degree light sensor that will allow you to adjust the image according to the light in the environment, combined with the new video processor called VisionClear.

Bang & Olufsen BeoVision 14 Android TV combines TV channels with apps and games. BeoVision 14 will also feature Multiroom network, allowing you to enjoy wireless music and synchronize it with other Bang & Olufsen products in your home. Along with that, the company also introduces all new “BeoRemote One Bluetooth”, using Bluetooth technology meaning that the range is extended and that you no longer have to point directly at the TV.
BeoVision 14 is the luxury TV, so its price is extremely expensive, a 40-inch variant costs EUR 6,365 – approximately $7,107 and cost for 55-inch model is EUR 8,565 – approximately $9666 USD.
