Audio-Technica – Japan’s largest audio brand, bought two blockbuster products called ATH-AWKT and ATH-AWAS headphones to Hong Kong AVshow 2019. These Audio-Technica headphones will be two high-end wooden casing products that inherit the position of ATH-W5000, the headset that’s nearly 15 years old so far.

ATH-AWKT uses Ebony wood which is often used in classical musical instruments with very fine wood lines. The sound chamber structure is designed very elaborately with various layers of hardwood to eliminate unnecessary resonances. The inside uses a 53mm diameter dynamic driver that has a very good full range regeneration.

The sound quality of ATH-AWKT was introduced by the company with natural color and still full of music ATH-AWAS uses Asada Cherry wood material, often used in high-end audio equipment and especially the shell of high-end speakers, there is no striking color but this wood also has a special sound characteristic. Inside the ATH-AWAS is also a special driver with a diameter of 53mm, but the sound quality of the ATH-AWAS is presented by the company with a lively, richer direction.

Both Audio-Technica ATH-AWAS and ATH-AWKT headphones are hand-assembled by artisans in Japan. Official prices, as well as the specific release date, will be announced later.
