With the Penrose, the sound experts from Audeze announce a new wireless gaming Bluetooth headset models. A heart of the Audeze Penrose is the world-famous 100mm Planar Magnetic driver technology that ensures a rich sound that makes the finest details audible.
The Bluetooth earphone is available in two versions and is fully compatible with all devices that are played today and tomorrow. Penrose is compatible with the current PlayStation 4 as well as the upcoming PlayStation 5 from Sony, Windows PCs and Macintosh computers. The Penrose X is compatible with the current Xbox One as well as the upcoming Xbox Series X and Windows PCs from Microsoft.
Both versions can also be easily connected to common mobile devices thanks to modern Bluetooth 5 connections. These include tablets and smartphones with iOS and Android as well as the Nintendo Switch.
As planned this year, Microsoft and Sony are heralding the next gaming generation with their new home consoles. The headsets are officially certified for Xbox and PlayStation and wirelessly get the best sound from the gaming worlds of tomorrow thanks to a low-latency 2.4 GHz connection. The connection is child’s play thanks to special USB dongles – without complex setup, players experience new sound dimensions with the best surround sound.
The Audeze Penrose X supports Dolby Atmos, DTS-X, and Windows Sonic on both the Xbox Series X and Windows. The Penrose supports these formats on mobile devices and, in conjunction with the PlayStation 5, makes full use of the Tempest engine specially developed by Sony for 3D sound.
The Penrose PC gaming headset enables simultaneous connections to the console via USB dongle and to a mobile device via Bluetooth 5.0. In this way, gaming fans can easily make calls while playing or record their favorite soundtrack from their smartphone – including support for the high-resolution SBC and AAC codecs.
Communication with other team members is just as important as crisp sound when gaming. The wireless headset microphone is detachable ensures the best communication in all gaming situations. Compared to the predecessor Audeze Mobius, the headset mic has been fundamentally revised and, with a sound pressure level of up to 140 dB, ensures the best speech intelligibility and reliably filters out the ambient noise of up to 20 dB thanks to built-in filters.
With the aid of the Audeze HQ app, users can adjust the sound pattern to their individual listening preferences. The 10-band equalizer facilitates gradual adjustments for headphones and microphone and enables the targeted switching on or off of the sidetone functionality and the nimble change between user-defined sound profiles.
