Atomos has introduced a new video monitor for live broadcasts – Atomos Zato Connect. The camera monitor allows you to connect to the Atomos Cloud Studio service, which was introduced earlier.
The video monitor has been created specifically for streaming videos on Twitch, YouTube, as well as other popular platforms and services. It supports HDMI, USB UVC, Wi-Fi 5, and Gigabit Ethernet. The camera monitor has an exclusively passive cooling system due to holes in the case.
The Atomos Zato Connect monitor supports most devices with HDMI output at resolutions and frame rates up to 1080p 60fps or USB webcams at resolutions up to 1080p 30fps.
The Atomos Connect is equipped with a 5-inch SuperAtom touch screen. The monitor can be used to switch between sources and to monitor the signal. The screen has a Full HD resolution and a brightness of 1000 nits.
Zato Connect received a connector for mounting on a cage. The video monitor has a standard 3.5 mm audio jack for connecting a microphone or line-level signal sources.
During live broadcasts, the device allows you to record to an internal SD memory card in the H.265 codec. The camera monitor allows you to create various special effects when creating content: combining previously recorded content with a “live” performance. The ability to play previously recorded material and present it as a “live broadcast” has been implemented.
It is equipped with a mixer that allows you to mix multiple audio sources into one stereo track for both live broadcasts and ready-made recordings or video presentations.
Zato Connect runs on the AtomOS Lite operating system. Thanks to it, you can adjust streams, switch between signal sources, record, play, mix audio and add various effects, such as transitions between frames, graphics overlay, zoom, and others.
The streaming monitor is powered by a single NP-F battery. It also has a USB Power Delivery port. The video monitor can also optionally be powered from an external 7.2V power supply. The dimensions and weight of the device are as follows: 151 x 91.5 x 29.5 mm, weight 245 g.
