Asus has officially announced the new ZenFone 5Z and ZenFone 5 smartphones at the MWC 2018. It comes with the Notch display and front camera placed on one side which is not too special or not too surprising. The most unexpected feature is that no one expected that Asus will do – Zennimoji. No use of animals or emojis, nor from the user’s face, Asus’s Zennimoji uses Asus’s Zenny mascot to create a dynamic 3D emoji that mimics the user’s emotions.
Asus Zennimoji is actually like AR Emoji like Galaxy S9 which uses front camera and AR technology algorithm to emoji on the phone can mimic the expression and movement of the face and head of the user.
Although it’s using the Zenny mascot, Asus will also customize this owl into many different animals such as bears and more (as of now only simulate the bear but the company confirmed will be transformed into many other animals).
According to what Asus demonstrated at the event, this feature seemed to work very efficiently, flexibly and smoothly. Asus says that the Zennimoji emoticon series will be available on the Zen UI KeyBoard when it’s officially released in April. This means that you can send Zennimoji via the third party message app without restriction.
There are two major differences of Zennimoji with AR Emoji or Animoji, which is the enhancement effect and compatibility with the camera of the third party application. With enhanced effects, when you glow or blast. Additionally, Asus also gives more dazzling effect or spitfire.
As for compatibility with a third-party camera, Asus says Zennimoji can be used with Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Messengers, and so on. So you can make video calls or livestream with Zennimoji. Do not know what we will be even more after Animoji, AR Emoji and Zennimoji?
