Asus ZenFone 5Q Starts Receiving Android Pie Update: Report

Good news for all owners of Asus ZenFone 5Q has started receiving its Android Pie update, according to the official blog. It is a mid-range smartphone was launched last year, along with its big brothers, ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 5Z, still waiting to be updated to Android 9 Pie.

The latest update is said to bring Android Pie OS and users in Italy are reportedly getting the Android Pie update on the ZenFone 5Q. Although it took longer than the other two models – both updated between the end of last year and the first weeks of January – the manufacturer’s support was not lacking even for this handset.

The update size should be around 1GB will be received via OTA, but you can also check the availability of the Android Pie update on your Asus ZenFone 5Q by going to “System updates” in[Settings] >[System] and Download update manually. The update may take some time to reach your device since it is likely to be available in phases.

Recall that Zenfone 5Q is a mid-range device comes with Snapdragon 630 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage and a 3,300mAh battery. It features a 6.0-inch Full HD + IPS display, dual rear camera: 16MP + 8MP 120-degree wide-angle lens, and For selfie, the device also sports a dual front camera setup: 20MP + 8MP 120-degree wide-angle lens.
