Asus Zenfone 3 with 5.5-inch Display, 16MP Camera and Fingerprint sensor Launched

Asus Zenfone 3 (ZE552KL) has been officially launched at Zenvolution event at Computex 2016 today, as expected. New Zenfone 3 comes with 16MP camera, 3GB RAM and Snapdragon 625 SoC, priced at $249 USD and is available in Shimmer Gold, Aqua Blue, Sapphire Black and Moonlight White color variants.Asus Zenfone 3 (ZE552KL)

As for Asus Zenfone 3 Specs; the handset features a 5.5-inch Super IPS LCD display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution with up to 500cd/m2 brightness; 2.1mm ultra-narrow frame and a screen-to-body ratio of 77.3 percent. The screen is also covered with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 layer on top of it. It is powered by a 2.0 GHz Octa-Core processor that’s backed by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset along with Adreno 506 GPU. It has two memory options including 3GB/4GB of RAM and comes with 32GB/64GB of native storage which can be expanded via microSD card.

The Zenfone 3 houses a 16-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX318 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 4-axis optical image stabilization – OIS, 3-axis electronic image stabilization – EIS, Laser AF and dual-tone LED flash. The camera follows all new Asus TriTech autofocus system that automatically selects 2nd generation laser, phase detection, and continuous autofocus speed up to 0.03-second along with subject tracking. While there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 88-degree wide-angle lens to capture a wide group selfies and video calling. The handset runs on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the Zen UI 3.0 interface on top of it. It packs in 3000mAh battery under the hood. The body of the device is made of aluminium alloy. It has Hybrid Dual SIM and includes 4G LTE with VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS A-GPS, USB Type-C as connectivity options. There is another variant of the Zenfone 3 that features little smaller 5.2-inch FHD display and a 2650mAh battery out of the box while the rest of the specifications remain same on both the handsets.
