Asus is listing a new 27″ 1440p VA monitor called ROG Strix XG27WCMS, which measures 27 inches diagonally and uses Fast VA technology. The best curved HDR monitor has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (WQHD), achieves a refresh rate of up to 280 Hz, and is DisplayHDR 400 certified.
In addition to a 1 ms fast gray change, a 3000:1 contrast is promised, which should ensure solid black levels. It has a 125% sRGB, 95% DCI-P3, 8-bit color depth, 400 cd/m² peak brightness, and power consumption under 31.4 watts.
Since it is an ELMB sync device, you can combine FreeSync Premium with a mode to combat moving image blur. It also includes Variable Overdrive 2.0 and GamePlus features like a dynamic black stabilizer and an fps display.
The interfaces of the Asus XG27WCMS are quite comprehensive, featuring HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, USB-C (with DP mode and 15-watt PD), and a headphone output. There is also VESA mounting (100 x 100 mm), blue light filtering, and flicker-free backlight. Additionally, for ergonomic comfort, you can tilt, rotate, and adjust the height of the monitor.
