Asus XG27UCDMG 240 Hz 4K Monitor with QD-OLED, FreeSync Premium Pro, and G-Sync

The Asus ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM, which has been available since the beginning of the year, will soon be joined by a sister model from the ROG Strix series. The Asus XG27UCDMG measures 26.5 inches diagonally and features the latest fourth-generation QD-OLED. Moreover, it offers a 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels) along with a 240 Hz refresh rate. Additionally, it supports DisplayHDR True Black 400 and includes an optimized text display for improved clarity.

In addition to 10-bit color depth and a 0.03 ms response time (gray to gray), 145 percent sRGB, 99 percent DCI-P3, 1000 cd/m² peak brightness (HDR, 3 percent APL), and a contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1 are promised. FreeSync Premium Pro and G-Sync-compatible Adaptive Sync provide anti-tearing features. Alternatively, there will be an anti-motion blur mode (ELMB). By the way, there’s no mention of Dolby Vision yet.

The monitor includes AI-supported GamePlus features such as an FPS display and a crosshair overlay, along with a 4:3 or 24.5-inch mode for lower-than-4K resolutions. The interface offering consists of two HDMI 2.1 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4 (instead of 2.1 as on the PG27UCDM), a USB 3.0 hub, a headphone jack, and a USB-C with DisplayPort Alternate Mode and 90W PD. A KVM switch is also included, as are picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture modes.

A presumably fanless custom heatsink, along with an OLED Care Pro and a person detection sensor, helps minimize the risk of OLED burn-in. Anti-Flicker 2.0 reduces the QD OLED panel’s susceptibility to flicker by up to 20% compared to previous generations. The Asus 240 Hz 4K monitor includes a firmware update function and a three-year warranty. Users can tilt, rotate, adjust its height by 120 mm, and pivot it. Without the stand, it weighs 5 kg.
