ASUS Windows Mixed Reality Headset goes Official at IFA 2017

ASUS Vice President Eric Chen today introduced the new range of product at The Edge of Beyond press event at IFA 2017 in Berlin, including the first ASUS Windows Mixed Reality Headset.

ASUS Windows Mixed Reality Headset has been developed in collaboration with Microsoft to bring immersive real-world and virtual experiences to users. Now user can experience a true virtual reality world through its lightweight display and particularly comfortable to wear.

The ASUS Windows Mixed Reality headset weighs 400 grams, has a 3K display, offers a balanced-crown design that reduces pressure on the nose and face, featuring 3D-pattern aesthetic of hundreds of 3D polygons and a glossy tone-on-tone effect. Made with antibacterial materials, and comfortable to wear for extended periods. There is innovative inside-out tracking with two built-in front-facing tracking cameras with six-degrees-of-freedom (6DoF) position tracking.

This Mixed Reality Headset doesn’t need external sensors or additional software and will be available to purchase at the end of the year, priced at EUR 449.
