ASUS TUF Gaming VG258QM Gaming Monitor Reaches 280Hz Refresh Rate

ASUS has announced the TUF Gaming VG258QM gaming-grade 1920×1080 monitor, made on a 24.5-inch TN matrix with Full HD 1080p resolution. The monitor has a traditional Asus TUF Gaming flat shape design.

The 1920×1080 monitor has a brightness of 400 cd/m2, 1000: 1 contrast ratio and dynamic contrast ratio is 100,000,000: 1. The viewing angles horizontally and vertically are up to 170 and 160 degrees, respectively. A 72 percent coverage of the NTSC color space was claimed.

The refresh rate reaches up to 280Hz and the response time is 0.5ms (GtG). The ELMB-Sync (Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync) system has been implemented, which combines the technology for reducing motion blur (ELMB) and adaptive sync.

A proprietary set of ASUS GamePlus gaming tools is provided: it includes a sniper mode, a crosshair, a timer, a frame counter, and a picture alignment tool in multi-display configurations. Low Blue Light and Flicker-free systems help to reduce eye strain.

The arsenal of new items – 2-watt stereo speakers, DisplayPort 1.2 interface, and two HDMI 2.0 connectors. The stand allows you to adjust the angle of inclination and rotation of the display, change the height, and convert the screen from landscape to portrait.
