Keyboard and Touchpad

The keyboard does not have a long key travel, but in return for the space of the buttons, the fast operation becomes easier. Performance

Quickly, we downloaded MSI Afterburner to measure FPS, CPU temperature to evaluate the smoothness through processing three games – CS: GO, League of Legends, and FIFA Online 4. First, we start with the CS: GO, you are peace of mind in machine speed and firing guns. The FPS is always hovering above 135, although it sometimes drops to 120 FPS, that’s not a big deal.

When we played League of Legends on the Zephyrus G14, we didn’t feel the device lag at all and the gameplay was smooth from start to finish. The frame rate always fluctuated at 112 fps with high graphics, which helped us win 3-4 consecutive matches. If we do not record the screen, the FPS can reach 230 FPS.

For FIFA Online 4, the FPS fluctuates continuously in the range of 112–120 FPS. However, sometimes there was a setback and dropping 50 fps made us feel a little unfair.

With exceptional smoothness in experiences and exceptional heavy-duty handling, the ASUS ROG G14 is a great partner under-hit titles or in-depth graphics. This task is not only thanks to the powerful CPU but also relies on NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650Ti 4GB discrete graphics card.

In addition, we also use some software to measure CPU performance. The two software we use to measure CPU and laptop performance is Geekbench and Cinebench, the results are as follows:

Heat dissipation

When the League of Legends war ends after 1 hour, the machine is quite hot, we can see for ourselves that the machine is hot, so we then turn on the ROG key and adjust the ability to handle the heatsink faster to help regulate the machine’s temperature. But while continuing to keep the device while playing games and handling some heavy software like Adobe, the ROG gaming laptop machine heats up on both the keyboard and palm rest.

We used the AIDA64 software to measure CPU temperature. The results show that, within 1 hour and 11 minutes, the software displays CPU temperatures up to 101 ° C. If you are a novice or a new user, you will find this heat level significantly higher. For people who use gaming laptops for a long time, this heat level is not very strange.

Battery

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 is a gaming laptop, so it’s no surprise that it has limited battery life. But surprisingly, we feel that the battery on this laptop for gaming is quite good for a gaming device. If you just watch YouTube or just surf Facebook for fun, the battery life can last up to 5 hours. We used real experience with the following situations:

• 100% brightness
• Do not turn on battery saver
• Open Photoshop, Lightroom and League of Legends
• Turn on AniMe Matrix Display

At the same time, we used the BatteryMon software and in about 52 minutes, the battery life of the Zephyrus G14 displayed on the screen was 3 hours and 52 minutes. As we said above, if you only use it for light tasks, the device can extend its time by up to 5 hours.

Audio

If you turn on the external speaker and enjoy the sound on the ROG Zephyrus G14 you will never get such a gaming experience. You may not know, ROG Zephyrus G14 is integrated with Dolby Atmos technology to provide an immersive audio experience, especially when fighting games or listening to EDM music. However, the sound was not as loud as we expected.
