Asus ROG US has opened pre-orders for the 16- and 18-inch variants of its 2025 ROG Strix Scar series. Both models feature an RTX 5090 graphics card. The ROG Strix Scar 16 G635LX and ROG Strix Scar 18 G835LR laptops feature advanced cooling for their Intel Core Ultra 9 processor. This processor powers a mini LED version of their 240Hz ROG Nebula display. The ROG Strix Scar 2025 lineup starts at around $2,700, but it’s an understatement to say it won’t stay there.
Asus has released the ROG Strix Scar 2025 for pre-order with the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor and 32GB of RAM. It features Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, dual Thunderbolt 5, and the same 90 Wh battery as the new Strix G18. Their prices differ depending on their RTX 5000 graphics card and hard drive size.

Its price is $2,699.99 on B&H Photo with a 1TB SSD. The 2TB model (G835LW-XS97) with an RTX 5080 card costs $3,399.99, and the same model with an RTX 5090 card is $4,499.99.

Both configurations (G635LW-XS97 and G635LX-XS97, respectively) feature a ROG Nebula HDR display consisting of a 240Hz 2.5K mini LED panel. The Scar 18 2025 features an 18-inch Pantone-validated display. It offers a resolution of up to 1200 nits, even in the entry-level model (G835LR-XS96), although the RTX 5070 Ti drives it.
Both models feature an integrated MUX Switch, NVIDIA Advanced Optimus, and ROG’s intelligent cooling system. This includes a custom vapor chamber, a sandwich heatsink, and an advanced Tri-Fan setup for optimal thermal efficiency. The AniMe Vision matrix on the lid and the Aura RGB light bar across the chassis let gamers personalize their setup. This adds a unique and dynamic aesthetic.
