Asus ProArt Display PA27UCGE 27-inch 4K Professional Monitor for Creators

The Asus PA27UCGE, a feature-rich new PC monitor with LuxPixel technology for creatives, was unveiled in September last year. A recently launched official product page reveals many new details about the 27-inch monitor, so we’re taking a closer look at the device below.

Asus PA27UCGE LuxPixel technology

It’s an IPS model with a LuxPixel anti-reflective coating and an integrated motorized colorimeter that can automatically recalibrate the panel. Other key features include 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels), a 160 Hz refresh rate, 100 percent sRGB, 98 percent DCI-P3, 10-bit color depth, 600 cd/m² peak brightness, a 1 ms response time (gray to gray), and a Delta E value of less than 1. The latter, therefore, indicates high color precision.

The Calman-verified and DisplayHDR 600-certified new Asus PA27UCGE features a range of ProArt presets, including “HDR_PQ,” “HDR_HLG,” “Adobe RGB,” “Rec. 709,” and “sRGB.” Adaptive-sync support, such as picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture modes, a KVM switch, and two internal 2-watt speakers, are included. Interfaces include two HDMI 2.1 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4 (DSC), a USB 3.0 hub, a headphone output, and USB-C with DisplayPort Alternate Mode and 96-watt PD.

The ergonomics truly shine, featuring tilt, swivel, height adjustment (120 mm), pivot, and VESA mount (100 x 100 mm). Additionally, the monitor includes blue light filtering, a flicker-free backlight, and various sensors. These sensors, in particular, enhance functionality by detecting people in front of the monitor, measuring ambient light to conserve power, and dynamically adjusting the image quality.

Asus PA27UCGE Price and Release Date

The Asus ProArt PA27UCGE weighs 4.5 kg without the stand, consumes less than 27 watts of power, and includes an anti-glare hood. It is finally listed on B&H Photo for pre-order at $949 and is expected to be released towards the end of the second quarter or the beginning of the third quarter of 2025.
