The Taiwanese manufacturer has unveiled another new pro art monitor 27 inch model at CES 2023. The Asus PA279CRV measures 27 inches diagonally, is DisplayHDR-400-certified, and relies on an IPS panel with 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels) at 60 Hz.

The contrast ratio is 1000:1, the response time is 5 ms (grey to grey), the peak brightness is 400 cd/m², and the color depth is 10 bit. The common EBV color spaces are covered extensively. The data sheet states 100 percent sRGB, 99 percent Adobe RGB, 99 percent DCI-P3, and a Delta-E value of less than 2.
The OSD has presets for the color spaces mentioned, but also for Rec. 709, Rec. 2020, and, for example, DICOM ready. The Calman-verified novelty also comes with Adaptive-Sync support against tearing and also has MediaSync certification from VESA (PRAD-News). Picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture modes have also been considered.
Two 2-watt loudspeakers are installed as sound generators. On the connection side, there are two HDMI 2.0 inputs, two DisplayPorts 1.4 (input and output, daisy chain capable), a USB 3.2 hub (Gen 1), a headphone output, and USB-C with DisplayPort alternate mode and 96-watt power supply available.
In terms of ergonomics, thanks to the rotation, tilt, height adjustment, pivot, VESA mount (100 x 100 mm), blue light filtering, and flicker-free backlight, hardly anything is left to be desired.
