Asus launches New ZenBook Pro 15 UX550GD with Core i9 and GTX 1050 Ti

Asus has upgraded it’s ZenBook Pro 15 line up, with more powerful configurations than the previous model was launched in September last year. The new Asus ZenBook Pro 15 UX550GD laptop has up to 16GB of RAM and eighth generation Intel Core i9 processor.

Focusing on the compact design, new Asus notebook features a 15.6-inch NanoEdge screen with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. In addition, in its most powerful specifications, it comes equipped with an 8th generation Intel Core i9-8950HQ processor, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti GPU with 4GB of GDDR5 RAM, 1TB PCIe SSD storage and 16GB of 2,400 MHz DDR4 RAM.

For those who prefer lower cost with more modest components, the laptop has options with Intel Core i5-8300H or Core i7-8750H SoCs. All three CPU will feature hex-core processors. In addition, it is possible to choose SATA 3 SSD storage of 256GB or 512GB or PCIe SSD of 512GB or 1TB. In any configuration, the graphics card remains the same.

The Asus ZenBook Pro 15 UX550GD has two standard 3.1 USB ports, HDMI output, 3.5 mm port for headphone and microphone, and microSD card reader. In connectivity, there is support for 802.11ac dual-band wireless and Bluetooth 5.0. There’s still the 8-cell and 71-watt battery, which supports fast charging and allows up to 9 hours of usage time.

So far, Asus has not disclosed the prices and availability of the new laptop. The expectation is that they will be available in the month of June with a starting price of $1,500.
