ASUS is expanding its gaming laptop catalog with the new FX503, a product designed for the mid-range users and in general for those users seeking the right compromise between performance and price. The Asus FX503 laptop is not a part of the ROG line, a feature that emerges immediately, looking at the design, rather straightforward but well-groomed to be effective and efficient in terms of heat dissipation.
The Asus FX503 is a portable laptop features a 15.6-inch IPS FHD display and powered by an Intel Kaby Lake HQ series processors: in this case, we find options for the Core i5-7300HQ or powerful Core i7-7700HQ. Memory can be expanded up to 32GB, while the graphics segment includes the adoption of Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 3GB / 6GB or GTX 1050 2GB / 4GB GPUs.
The heat dissipation is entrusted to a dual-fan heat pipe system and Fan Overboost support to improve the efficiency of the cooler with all types of applications. It is a shame for the lack of support for SSM M.2 type NVMe, with ASUS opts in this case for HDDs up to 1TB and SATA 3 128GB / 512GB SSD drives. Other features of this Asus notebook such as the backlit keyboard, WiFi AC connectivity, HD webcam, and a massive 64Wh battery.
As of now, Asus FX503 price is starting from $799 from the version with Core i5 and GTX 1050 2GB on Amazon.com store.
