From early 2014 until now, the Asus company has introduced two new Fonepad line, are used Intel hardware in low price range.

Asus Fonepad 7 FE170cg

Asus Fonepad 7 FE170cg is the first Fonepad with dual SIM support, the performance is quite, reasonable price and was introduced in April. Fonepad latest version Asus Fonepad 7 FE170cg has been introduced at Flipkart is even lower price of Rupees. 7,999.

ASUS Fonepad 7 Review:

Asus Fonepad 7 FE170cg has many remarkable features such as support for dual SIM for 3G calling and use the new interface ZenUI only on ZenFone. Priced starting at rupees 7,999, this is a remarkable product of Asus in the mid-range tablet segment.

Design:

When compared with its predecessor, could see the size of this Fonepad significantly smaller. On this device, the manufacturer has reduced the thickness of the screen edges, so look leaner. The rounded corners to hold the pad in one hand is more convenient.

Asus Fonepad 7 FE170cg has three buttons, located on the back should be tilted slightly difficult to press when holding the device with one hand. On the opposite side is the MicroSD card slot and dual SIM. Both SIM slots use standard MicroSIM. Asus Fonepad 7 FE170cg back cover of plastic material, helps to hold tightly. Speakers are located front side of the device and place the speaker above the screen, the camera near it, but it just does not have the light sensor. Style and design of this Fonepad FE170 is not much different than the previous one, but by reducing the screen size should be compact, easy to hold.  The use of materials is also pretty good.

Display:

7 inch display with a resolution of 1024×600 pixels with a pixel density of 170ppi. With a relatively low resolution, the screen is not much sharper, but this is the acceptable in this low price tablet. When compared with Fonepad 7 ME175, the display does not use IPS technology, so it gives little poor viewing angles, especially when viewing angle from left to hold the pad horizontally. Due to the narrow viewing angle, when watching movies or playing games on a tablet will be not really acceptable.

The maximum brightness of the display is 346 nits. This brightness is enough for indoor use, but it will be less difficult to use outdoors. Do not have the light sensor so the device does not have the brightness adjustment mode automatically, the user must manually adjust. The contrast of the Fonepad is not high and visibility low color accuracy.

Speaker:

Speaker of Fonepad 7 is integrated into one slot in front on the screen. Therefore, when using the device that placed horizontally, you will easily notice the sound skewed to one side. Speakerphone volume was loud, but sound quality is quite nice nothing very special.

Camera:

The rear camera on the Fonepad 7 resolution is only 2 megapixel camera with HD video recording capability and a front camera has a resolution of 0.3 megapixel. Low-resolution and camera quality is not impressive. When taking pictures at outdoor, the clarity and brightness is average, even when used indoors, the picture is pretty much noise. The Fonepad 7 camera only to showcase, this is not the priority feature on a mid-range segment tablet.

Plus point in camera feature on Fonepad 7 is on, the software side, it is almost fully equipped with new features of ZenFone line. Compared to ZenFone 5, Fonepad 7 is just missing the point in low light mode and depth of field. Due to high quality cameras most of the pictures should not give effective look, except for selfie picture mode, it has face recognition technology, allowing users to automatically take a selfie picture from the rear and front camera.

Performance:

Fonepad 7 is equipped with the same configuration of version ME175, including Intel 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and SGX544MP2 graphics. This configuration has sufficient to meet basic needs, in addition to the screen resolution is not high, the Fonepad works pretty fast. When you surf the web or watching videos on YouTube, the Fonepad will respond very well. The overall performance of the Fonepad 7 is quite impressive when compared to the other same price Android tablets.

Fonepad 7 also runs high-end games such as Asphalt 8 or Dead Trigger 2 When using the application, the  performance is amazing. Fonepad has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset also used in Moto G and HTC One Mini.

Battery time:

Fonepad 7 with battery capacity of 4,030 mAh. When using the standard battery review, the device is quite impressive results. To attain specific results 8 hours 29 minutes for movie watching and 4 hours 21 minutes to play games, the results are quite impressive. Comes in box with charger is 1.35A output stream. Due to the high intensity of charging time for full charge take quite a long time, takes about 4 hours and 20 minutes to charge the full battery to empty level.

Software:

In addition to the ZenFone line, Asus Fonepad 7 FE170cg is the first tablet to be installed ZenUI, new interface and apps from Asus. This is a feature from Asus, focusing on the personal experience for users as mentioned schedule, remind and work arrangements, along with sharing some other features.

When using this feature, the receiver will use the cellular data connection to create a WiFi access point (WiFi hotspot), the tablet will send the access network. This WiFi to send the file.
